    The Retail Associate is responsible for assisting guests with purchases and supporting the overall operations of the Chocolaterie. More importantly, the Retail Associate is the face of the boutique and has an opportunity to connect with our clients to create memorable experiences. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about customer service and have a desire to learn more about chocolate and confections.

• Represent the Chocolaterie in a positive manner; greet customers and assist them with purchases.
    • Collect and process payment for purchases; follow cash handling and credit card policies and procedures.
    • Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries.
    • Assist Chocolatier with portioning, arranging, and packaging food products.
    • Prepare products for shipping and organize shipping/delivery process; keep accurate records.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the boutique.
    • Assist with ordering supplies and counting inventory.
    • Receive deliveries; verify vendor invoices with delivery specs and check product quality.
    • Perform work duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures as well as OSHA regulations.
    • Represent Deux Crane’s values on a daily basis.

    Role Overview:
    As an Assistant Chocolatier, you will support our Chocolatier in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality chocolates and confections. This role requires an eye for detail and a love for creating beautiful, delicious products. You will also ensure kitchen cleanliness, safety, and efficient operations while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support Chocolate Production: Work closely with the Chocolatier to prepare ingredients, following precise recipes to weigh, measure, and mix. Assist in the preparation and creation of chocolates, confections, and other treats to ensure each product meets our quality standards.
    • Product Presentation & Packaging: Skillfully portion, arrange, garnish, and package finished products, ensuring they are visually appealing and aligned with the Deux Cranes aesthetic.
    • Shipping & Inventory Management: Organize and prepare products for shipping, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Keep detailed and accurate records of products shipped. Assist in inventory management by ordering supplies, checking inventory levels, and receiving deliveries while maintaining product quality standards.
    • Quality Control: Perform taste tests and visual inspections to ensure all products meet Deux Cranes' high standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
    • Kitchen Maintenance & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing and disinfecting surfaces, utensils, and equipment. Ensure the kitchen is in compliance with food safety standards, including proper labeling, storing, and rotating ingredients using the "first in, first out" method.
    • Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor kitchen appliance temperatures and ensure they’re operating at optimal levels. Perform routine maintenance and identify any equipment issues.
    • Team Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Chocolatier and team members, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the kitchen and boutique while contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment.
    • Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety and security policies, as well as OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe work environment. Represent Deux Cranes’ values and commitment to quality and excellence in every task.
