Boutique Retail Associate
$15.50~ $17 per hour • Full Time including some Saturdays
The Retail Associate is responsible for assisting guests with purchases and supporting the overall operations of the Chocolaterie. More importantly, the Retail Associate is the face of the boutique and has an opportunity to connect with our clients to create memorable experiences. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about customer service and have a desire to learn more about chocolate and confections.
— Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent the Chocolaterie in a positive manner; greet customers and assist them with purchases.
• Collect and process payment for purchases; follow cash handling and credit card policies and procedures.
• Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries.
• Assist Chocolatier with portioning, arranging, and packaging food products.
• Prepare products for shipping and organize shipping/delivery process; keep accurate records.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the boutique.
• Assist with ordering supplies and counting inventory.
• Receive deliveries; verify vendor invoices with delivery specs and check product quality.
• Perform work duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures as well as OSHA regulations.
• Represent Deux Crane’s values on a daily basis.

— Experience/Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of retail experience
• Prior experience with Shopify preferred
— Work Environment:
• Indoor setting
• Moderate noise levels
• Frequent use of computer (point of sale system)

Assistant Chocolatier
$16-19 per hour • Full Time including some Saturdays
The Chocolatier’s Assistant is responsible for assisting the Chocolatier in preparing, cooking, and storing food in accordance with guidelines. This position maintains cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and storage areas. This role is vital to the operations of the business in creating experiences and connections for our customers. To be successful in this role, you must be detail-oriented and passionate about creating designer chocolates and confections.

• Assist Chocolatier in making food items; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Portion, arrange, garnish, and package food products.
• Prepare products for shipping and organize shipping/delivery process; keep accurate records.
• Assist with quality control; observe and test foods using taste and smell to determine if they meet expectations.
• Properly label and store foods using first in first out method.
• Polish food molds.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, dishes, and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
• Assist with ordering supplies and counting inventory.
• Receive deliveries; verify vendor invoices with delivery specs and check product quality.
• Visually inspect kitchen for cleanliness, proper inventory, and functioning equipment.
• Assist in the retail boutique as necessary.
• Perform work duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures as well as OSHA regulations.
• Represent Deux Crane’s values on a daily basis.

— Experience/Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of cooking experience• Experience with chocolate is not necessary but a basic understanding is preferable
• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
• Valid Food Handler Card
